Robert Griffin III’s latest comments about the relationship between Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark appear to have landed him a rebuke from Reese herself.
Griffin has been outspoken about the Reese-Clark rivalry, and on Thursday, he took to X to condemn a racist depiction of Reese that was circulating online. Griffin managed to bring up Clark in that condemnation by bringing up his previous comments about how Reese “hates” Clark, and then claimed that members of Reese’s inner circle had reached out to him to confirm his suspicions.
“People in Angel’s inner circle called me and told me I was right and Angel Reese has grown to hate Caitlin Clark because of the media always asking her about Caitlin and being constantly compared to her,” Griffin wrote on X.
Less than two hours later, Griffin’s post appeared to catch the attention of Reese, who responded by essentially calling Griffin a liar.
“Lying on this app when everybody know the first and last name of everybody in my circle for clout is nastyyyy work,” Reese wrote.

Griffin’s previous comments on Reese and Clark managed to get him involved in a vitriolic back-and-forth with ESPN NFL analyst Ryan Clark. Now Reese herself has accused Griffin of lying about her inner circle. Whether he is right or wrong, Griffin just cannot stop getting himself in trouble when it comes to this topic.
Both Reese and Clark have downplayed any personal rivalry between the two of them, but they also keep doing things that stoke that rivalry.
Whatever the case, Reese does not appear interested in letting rumors about personal hatred of Clark spread. She also does not want anyone thinking Griffin has ties to her inner circle.
