For the second straight weekend, Shane van Gisbergen has swept the poles for both the NASCAR Xfinity Series race and the NASCAR Cup Series race.
After winning the pole for the Xfinity Series race on Friday, van Gisbergen won the pole for Sunday's Cup Series race at Sonoma with a lap of 74.594 seconds.
"I'm shaking," van Gisbergen told truTV. "It's a great car."
It's the fourth pole of van Gisbergen's Cup Series career and his third of the 2025 season. Van Gisbergen will go for his third win of 2025 on Sunday.
Chase Briscoe, Daytona 500 champion William Byron, Ross Chastain and AJ Allmendinger — who was fastest in practice — rounded out the top five, with Ty Gibbs, Ryan Blaney, Tyler Reddick, Alex Bowman and Christopher Bell completing the top 10.
