It is being reported but The Sporting Tribune that the WNBA is in talks with the city of Las Vegas to host the 2026 WNBA All-Star game.

If the plan is finalized, it will be the fourth time that the city of Las Vegas has hosted the mid-season event.

The Aces organization hosted the event in 2019, 2021, and 2023.

Sources told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that the WNBA approached the Aces organization about hosting again.

Conversations are underway to discuss logistics and scheduling surrounding the event.

The timing of the All-Star game would collide with the NBA Summer League, which is normally held around the same time.

The idea for Las Vegas to host again was floated by The Sporting Tribune’s Arash Markazi via X. The tweet caught some traction and Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James agreed immensely with the point.

As of late, Las Vegas has been a hot bed for major basketball-centered events. In addition to the city hosting the NBA Summer League, they also host the annual NBA Cup Semifinals and finals.

It is said that Las Vegas is currently in the running as a top expansion location for the NBA.

In the WNBA’s media day on Saturday, WNBA commissioner Cathy Englebert is expected to make the announcement in Indianapolis, the current host city.
