Eugenio Suarez is in the midst of a breakout season with the Arizona Diamondbacks. His 36 home runs lead the National League and are tied for second in the league with Aaron Judge. His 86 RBI lead all of MLB. But, in the second half of the season, it's likely that he'll be hitting them for a different team.
That's because Suarez is almost a done deal to be traded by the Diamondbacks while his trade value is the highest it's been in the 34-year-old's career amid a career-best season.
Here is a look at three potential fits for the slugger.
New York Yankees
Jazz Chisholm played 29 games at third base for the Yankees this season before being moved to second, leaving a void at the hot corner for New York.
Oswald Peraza has filled that gap in the interim, but adding a true third baseman would be a huge help for the Yankees, who've given up the top spot in the AL East to Toronto but lead AL wild-card standings.
Suarez was asked as the All-Star break about the potential of going to play in pinstripes.
"If I go over there, I will do my best and try to help them win a World Series."
Eugenio Suárez is asked about trade rumors, and the Yankees specifically:

Seattle Mariners
The Mariners are the only team out of the top contenders that Suarez has been with before. In the 2022 and 2023 seasons that Suarez spent in Seattle, he tallied 267 hits and 53 home runs in 312 games.
The Mariners have rookie Ben Williamson at third base currently, who holds a .259 batting average with one home run and 19 RBI. It certainly wouldn't be a bad idea for Seattle to target a veteran who seems to be at the height of his career, and who's already spent time in the organization.
A move to Seattle would also mean that Cal Raleigh, who has 38 home runs, and Suarez with 36, will play for the same team.
Watch out, pitchers.
Chicago Cubs
The Cubs are also leaning on a rookie third baseman in Matt Shaw, so it wouldn't be a bad idea to add a veteran who's on a tear. The Cubs will likely look into as many options as they can to compete in a riveting division race against the red-hot Milwaukee Brewers, who have won 11 games in a row and hold a one-game lead over Chicago.
Chicago ranks dead last in OPS from the third base position, so it's safe to say it will look to make a change at the third base position, whether it's Suarez or not.
The Cubs will likely have to give up Shaw in order to acquire Suarez. A deal to Chicago might be the best fit right now for the both teams, but it'll come down to the Cubs' willingness to give up the potential that sits with Shaw, who was once a No. 5 prospect in the organization.
On the flip side, it's important for Chicago to have a "win now" mentality in the midst of a heated race against the Brewers and potential for a deep playoff run.
