Sophie Cunningham is once again having to cut a check to the WNBA.

Last week, the Indiana Fever guard Cunningham posted a video of herself to her TikTok page. In the video, she was lip-syncing to the Sabrina Carpenter song, “Manchild.” The song notably features the line, “Stupid. Or is it slow? Maybe it’s useless.”

Cunningham included within the video the message, “@ some refs.” In her caption for the video though, she also wrote, “I’m just trollin #fyp.” You can see Cunningham’s video below.

On Wednesday, Cunningham revealed on X that she was fined by the league over the video. The WNBA fined her a total of $500 for the TikTok.

“I got fined $500 for this TikTok,” Cunningham wrote. “idk why this is funny to me… like ok. you got it bud! Cause there’s not more important things to be worried about with our league right now.”

For context, Cunningham’s original post came the day after the Fever lost to the New York Liberty in a 98-77 blowout. Indiana was still playing without superstar Caitlin Clark (groin), but Cunningham managed to put up 12 points on 5-of-12 shooting in her 26 minutes of action that day.

Cunningham was already fined by the WNBA earlier this season after committing a flagrant foul on an opponent in defense of her teammate Clark. That fine was obviously well worth it though for Cunningham, who saw a spike in her jersey sales following the incident and even managed to get a fantastic endorsement deal out of it.
