Caitlin Clark sat out for a third straight game on Thursday night as the Indiana Fever hosted the Las Vegas Aces at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The 23-year-old is still dealing with a groin injury, which she re-aggravated in Indiana’s win over the Connecticut Sun on July 16.
Despite her injury, Clark has continued to support her team. She was in attendance again for Thursday’s game as she cheered on the Fever in their 80-70 win against A’ja Wilson and Co. Naturally, the reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year had to join in on the post-win celebrations.
The cameras caught Clark’s one-word reaction to the victory as the team headed back to the locker room shortly after the final buzzer.
“Dub,” she said, while holding out a W sign with her hands.
"Dubs in the chat!"

The Fever announced on Thursday before the Aces game that there was no further damage found in Clark’s right groin. However, the team also revealed that she has no firm timetable to return.
This only means that Clark will likely sit out for an extended period, virtually confirming her absence for Indiana’s next game. This comes in the form of a highly anticipated matchup against their biggest rivals, the Chicago Sky, on Sunday at Wintrust Arena.
It is worth noting that Angel Reese is also in danger of missing that matchup after the former LSU star missed Thursday’s game against the Seattle Storm with a back injury. Reese’s issue doesn’t seem as serious as that of Clark’s, though, which means that she still has a legitimate chance of suiting up for Sunday’s clash.
