With training camp now underway, football fans are getting the chance to see rookies from the 2025 NFL Draft make first impressions with their new teams.
There are plenty of intriguing prospects to follow in their debut seasons in 2025-26, including Tennessee Titans QB Cam Ward (No. 1), New York Giants EDGE Abdul Carter (No. 3) and Las Vegas Raiders RB Ashton Jeanty (No. 6). However, there may not be a player drawing more attention than Jacksonville Jaguars WR/DB Travis Hunter.
New Jaguars general manager James Gladstone swung for the fences, trading up for the second overall pick to bring Hunter to Jacksonville. Executing such a massive trade results in lofty expectations and pressure on both the player and organization.
Through three days of camp thus far, Hunter has already shown why he was so highly touted coming out of college. After working with the offense for the first two days, he joined the defensive unit on Friday.
NFL reporter Ari Meirov shared a clip of Hunter doing work with the defense.

Hunter was a superstar on both sides of the ball over the last two years, playing under head coach Deion Sanders at the University of Colorado Boulder.
The do-it-all athlete racked up 96 receptions, 1,258 yards and 15 touchdowns in 2024, while also tallying four interceptions, 11 pass breakups and a forced fumble on defense, per ESPN stats. That brilliant season cemented him as one of the top prospects heading into the NFL draft.
The central question for Hunter as he becomes a pro is whether he'll play both wide receiver and cornerback. Many are doubting the 22-year-old, though he said after practice on Friday that he loves hearing people question his ability to do so.

There will undoubtedly be a learning curve as Hunter begins his NFL career, but if there's one thing we know about sports, it's that talent tends to rise to the top, and he is supremely skilled.
