While it makes sense to try to tie in all of the weekend buzz surrounding the arrival of "The Fantastic Four: First Steps" in movie theaters, the Dallas Cowboys social media team missed the mark with their Dak Prescott-themed post.
Sure, with Prescott wearing No. 4 for Dallas, the connection might have seemed easy. However, the post with Prescott displaying some of the Fantastic Four's powers while ignoring others drew plenty of questions and comments as well.

Included in the comments was the Cowboys completely ignoring the powers of the fourth member of the Fantastic Four. That would be Susan "Sue" Storm, who is also known often as Invisible Woman.
Prescott is entering his 10th season as the Cowboys' starting quarterback, and commenters on the post were quick to point out that Prescott has been invisible during any Dallas postseason appearance with him under center. Prescott is just 2-5 with the Cowboys in the postseason as Dallas has not advanced past the NFC Division round under his guidance.
Projections have the Cowboys being invisible in the postseason again this year, with BetMGM listing the Dallas win totals over-under at 7.5. That would equate to a second straight season where Dallas would not play meaningful football in January.
While the social media team might have had Prescott's right arm representing Reed Richards and his elasticity, the Cowboys are hoping that Prescott's hamstrings are more flexible this season. Limited to just eight games last year because of a partial hamstring avulsion, Prescott's ability to stay under center will be a key to success for Brian Schottenheimer in his first season as the Cowboys' head coach.
The 31-year-old Prescott is just 35 touchdowns behind Tony Romo on Dallas' all-time touchdown list at 248. That's a number that could be reached this season if he puts together numbers like he did in his last full season in 2023, throwing for 36 touchdowns and 4,516 yards while finishing second in the NFL AP Most Valuable Player voting.
If Prescott can indeed be the rock for the Cowboys and catch fire at the right time, perhaps Dallas won't be invisible when the NFC postseason matchups are announced.
