LIV Golf has announced that it will return to Mexico City in 2026. LIV Golf has scheduled the tournament for April 17 to 19, 2026, and will once again stage it at Club de Golf Chapultepec, just outside the capital. This marks the second straight year that LIV Golf will visit Mexico City and the fourth time the league will host an event in Mexico.

LIV Golf Returns After Successful 2025 Tournament

The decision to return comes after a successful 2025 tournament, which brought exciting golf action and strong support from fans. The event showed that there is a growing passion for golf in Mexico and across Latin America.

The 2025 edition delivered one of the season’s most thrilling finishes, as Torque GC captain Joaquin Niemann won the individual title and Jon Rahm’s Legion XIII secured the team title in impressive fashion. The 2026 tournament will once again feature 54 of the world’s top players competing over three days of fast-paced action in front of one of the league’s most passionate fanbases.

LIV Golf officials are excited about returning to Mexico City. Ross Hallett, Executive Vice President and Head of Events, said that the 2025 tournament was a great success and showed strong demand for professional golf in the region. He praised the course, the fans, and the overall experience, saying the league is proud to bring LIV Golf back to such a special venue.

“Our highly successful Mexico City debut this year reinforced our commitment to one of the world’s great cities where sports, entertainment and culture are on full display,” Hallett said. “The passion and excitement from fans across Mexico and Latin America showed the clear demand that exists to see many of the world’s best athletes in a welcoming and festive environment, and Club de Golf Chapultepec was a fantastic host site for the event.”

Club de Golf Chapultepec Thrilled To Host LIV Golf Mexico

Club de Golf Chapultepec is one of Mexico’s most famous courses and sits at more than 7,300 feet above sea level, which makes it unique. The president of Club de Golf Chapultepec, Fabián de Pedro, said the club is honored to host the event again. He promised that the 2026 tournament would deliver more memorable moments for fans and players alike.

“At Club de Golf Chapultepec, we are thrilled and proud to announce that, for the second time, we will host the prestigious LIV Golf Mexico City tournament in 2026,” de Pedro said. “This world-class event returns to our course, and we couldn’t be more excited to once again welcome players, fans, and visitors to our facilities. For our members and staff, it is an honor to be part of such a significant celebration for global golf.
