As the NFL Network’s Top 100 Players of 2025 countdown continues, players ranked 60 through 51 have sparked plenty of debate, particularly due to their mix of young rising stars and established proven veterans.
Cooper DeJean – No. 60
DeJean had a great rookie year in Philadelphia. If his volume of work matched other corners further down the list, mainly Jalen Ramsey, then this ranking might be fair. Compared to others, his snap count is a bit lower, which knocks him down slightly. If he can maintain his play while adding 200-300 snaps, then a ranking in the top 60 would certainly be warranted.
Joe Mixon – No. 58
Mixon started his 2024 campaign on fire, achieving seven 100-yard rushing performances in his first ten games. Unfortunately, he failed to sustain his hot start, having only one game with over 50 yards for the remainder of the season. While he deserves a spot in the top 100, placing him above backs like Bijan Robinson and Kyren Williams feels a bit far-fetched, considering Mixon also struggled with injuries.
Jared Verse – No. 53
Verse looked like a seasoned pro in his rookie year, wasting no time adjusting to the NFL. It might seem nitpicky, but his lack of statistical dominance should lower his ranking slightly. Placing Verse amongst names like Nick Bosa and Aidan Hutchinson, for now, feels a bit high.
Matthew Stafford – No. 59
At 37, Stafford continues to show how special a player he is. His anticipation, arm talent and accuracy remain a staple of his game, even in the twilight of his career. Stafford is deserving of a top 50 ranking, especially following the Rams' late-season run in 2024.
Kyle Hamilton – No. 51
Hamilton may be the best safety in the NFL, and his numbers support such a claim. His unique versatility, paired with elite athleticism and ball skills, makes him a complete game-changer. A ranking in the top 40 feels more appropriate for one of the league's most complete players.
