What the NASCAR Xfinity Series playoff picture looks like after Iowa

Sam Mayer locked up a spot in the 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series playoffs with his win in Saturday's race at Iowa Speedway. Here's what the Xfinity Series playoff picture looks like with four races remaining in the regular season.

1. Connor Zilisch (four wins)

2. Justin Allgaier (three wins)

3. Austin Hill (three wins, pending waiver)

4.  Sam Mayer (one win)

5. Jesse Love (one win)

6. Brandon Jones (one win)

7. Sammy Smith (one win)

8. Nick Sanchez (one win)

9. Carson Kvapil (+93)

A ninth-place finish at Iowa keeps Kvapil comfortably above the cut line for now. Barring a massive collapse, he'll make the playoffs in his rookie season.

10. Sheldon Creed (+82)

Creed was once in danger of falling below the cut line, but a seventh-place finish on Saturday kept his momentum rolling and gave him some breathing room over the next four races.

11. Taylor Gray (+67)

Like Kvapil, Gray is in an excellent position to make the postseason in his rookie season. Even with a 17th-place finish at Iowa, Gray retained a race's worth of cushion over the cut line.

12. Harrison Burton (+17)

Burton drove an excellent race on Saturday, holding on to a fifth-place finish that puts him above the cut line. Surviving a road course at Watkins Glen will be key to his playoff hopes.

13. Ryan Sieg (-17)

Sieg had a solid day at Iowa en route to an eighth-place finish, but fell below the playoff cut line. He'll need to find a way to survive Watkins Glen to have a fighting chance.

14. Jeb Burton (-19)

Like his cousin and Sieg, mitigating points damage at Watkins Glen will be the key to Jeb Burton's playoff fate. However, a 29th-place finish on Saturday certainly didn't help, and the No. 27 team can't afford any more runs like that in the future.

15. Christian Eckes (-69)

Eckes finished 10th on Saturday, but a win is most likely his only path to the postseason this year. However, a little momentum certainly can't hurt, especially for a rookie driver.

16. Dean Thompson (-78)

Like Eckes, Thompson is essentially in must-win territory at this point in the regular season. He finished 31st on Saturday at Iowa.
