There are some quarterbacks that enter the 2025 NFL season under more pressure than others.
After an up-and-down rookie season that only featured five wins, Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams heads into 2025 looking to turn the franchise back into a contender and lead the team to a playoff win for the first time since 2010.
ESPN analyst and former NFL QB Dan Orlovsky revealed his list of the top five signal callers with the most to prove in 2025 during an appearance on Monday's edition of "First Take."
Orlovsky pointed to Williams' immense talent and those around him on the field as reasons for him being No. 1 on the list.
"There's one guy who has more pressure on him than anybody in the NFL, Caleb Williams. You are also the guy, the golden child, the unbelievable athlete, the next Patrick Mahomes," Orlovsky said. "You've got the best offensive mind in football (head coach Ben Johnson) for the past five, six, seven, eight seasons, a rebuilt offensive line. Plenty of dudes to throw the football to, a first-round draft pick at tight end. It is go-time for Caleb Williams."

While the other players on Orlovsky's list are understandably under a lot of pressure entering the 2025 season, Williams is definitely worthy of the top spot on the list.
Although his rookie season was inconsistent, he showed signs of brilliance with 3,541 passing yards, topping 300 yards four times, and 20 touchdowns. He also accounted for six interceptions and posted a QBR of 46.7 that ranked 28th in the league. A lot of the struggles had to do with him getting sacked a league-high 68 times, which was 16 more than the next-closest QB on the list (Texans' C.J. Stroud, 52), per StatMuse.
Despite the ups-and-downs as you would expect with a rookie QB, Williams had as much hype surrounding him as anyone when he was drafted No. 1 by the Bears in 2024. Entering Year 2, Williams' teammates have nothing but high praise for him.
Something else to keep up with going into 2025 is the new-look Bears offense under former the Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Johnson, who enters his first season with Chicago. Johnson and the Lions had the highest-scoring offense (33.1 PPG) in the league last season, which shows what he is capable of drawing up.
Talented playmakers like WR Rome Odunze, who also enters his second season after averaging 13.6 yards per catch in his rookie campaign, and RB D'Andre Swift and WR DJ Moore, who led the team in rushing and receiving, respectively, in 2024, give Williams a multitude of options. The addition of rookie TE Colston Loveland from Michigan to go with Cole Kmet should be a strong duo for Williams to target as well.
Williams certainly has a lot to prove in his second season, but if things start to click and the offensive line gets better, he has the talent and the players around him to be successful and improve from his rookie season.
