Connor Zilisch won Saturday's NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Watkins Glen, but his celebration is sure to be subdued.
After suffering a hard fall in victory lane following the race, Zilisch was transported to a local hospital for evaluation, from which he has since been released.
"Thank you everybody for reaching out today," Zilisch said in a social media post. "I’m out of the hospital and getting better already. Thankfully, CT scans for my head are clear, I just have a broken collarbone. Thankful for all the medics for quick attention and grateful it wasn’t any worse."

Zilisch was scheduled to compete in Sunday's NASCAR Cup Series race at Watkins Glen in the No. 87 Chevrolet for Trackhouse Racing. The 19-year-old driver was seventh-fastest in practice and qualified 25th for what was set to be his fourth career Cup Series start.
Zilisch is expected to replace Daniel Suarez in a full-time capacity in the NASCAR Cup Series with Trackhouse Racing in 2026. He has earned six Xfinity Series wins through 23 races and currently leads the regular season standings.
The Xfinity Series will return to action at Daytona International Speedway on Aug. 22, giving Zilisch an extra week to heal. He previously missed the May 3 at Texas after suffering a back injury in an April 26 crash at Talladega Superspeedway.
