We now have a number to go along with the visual evidence of Luka Doncic’s weight loss this offseason.
The Los Angeles Lakers star Doncic has made headlines this summer for his vastly changed physique. Doncic, who has struggled with weight for much of his NBA career, recently appeared on the cover of “Men’s Health” magazine and was looking absolutely ripped. He credited his body transformation to extensive workouts and a revamped diet featuring intermittment fasting (full details here).
As for the exact number of pounds Doncic has shed this offseason, Slovenian POP TV revealed that this week. During a television report, the outlet shared that Doncic, a native of Slovenia, has lost 31 pounds in total.
Doncic was officially listed at 230 pounds last season. While his actual weight likely fluctuated above or below that figure over the course of the year, it sounds like he is now somewhere in the 200-pound range these days.
That is pretty wild for Doncic, per the report, to have lost about 13 percent of his body weight over the span of just one offseason. But that does track based on some of the other photos that we had seen of Doncic earlier this summer as well.
A five-time NBA All-Star at 26 years old, Doncic just earned himself a monster new payday that will keep him with the Lakers through at least 2028. Based on all of the evidence that we have seen and heard about him this summer, Doncic is certainly very motivated to live up to his enormous new contract.
