Connor Zilisch and Shane van Gisbergen had quite the tangle in the Aug. 9 NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Watkins Glen, but the JR Motorsports/Trackhouse Racing teammates aren't harboring any resentment toward each other.
Contact from van Gisbergen on Lap 64 sent Zilisch wide in turn 6. As Zilisch came back onto the track, he made contact with van Gisbergen, sending the No. 9 Chevrolet hard into the wall and briefly off the ground.
Zilisch went on to win the race, while van Gisbergen won Sunday's Cup Series event.
On Wednesday, Trackhouse Racing owner Justin Marks went on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio to clear the air about the incident.
"Those two talked. (Shane) went and looked at it, Connor went and looked at it," Marks said. "Everything was handled right. I think it was kind of a racing incident. It's one of those deals where I don't think there's a lot of blame or a lot of fault. It's just an unfortunate situation. Everything is fine between them, everything is fine with the team."

Zilisch and van Gisbergen have been teammates in select Xfinity and Cup Series events this season and could very well be full-time Cup Series teammates at Trackhouse Racing in 2026.
While Zilisch did go on to score the victory, he fell in victory lane and suffered a broken collarbone. His status is currently unknown for the Aug. 22 Xfinity Series race at Daytona.
