NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver Jack Wood will miss Friday's NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Richmond — and subsequently, is guaranteed to miss the 2025 Truck Series playoffs.
An injury suffered by Wood in the Aug. 8 race at Watkins Glen will keep him out of the No. 91 McAnally-Hilgemann Racing Chevrolet in Friday's regular-season finale. Wood needed a win at Richmond in order to qualify for the Truck Series postseason for the first time, but that is now guaranteed to not be a possibility.

MHR will not field the No. 91 with a relief driver on Friday. A timetable regarding Wood's potential return has yet to be released. Following Friday's race at Richmond, the Truck Series will take a week off before returning to action with their playoff opener at Darlington on Aug. 30.
Wood, a native of Loomis, California, has 78 Truck Series starts to his name. 2025 is his second full-time season and his first since his rookie campaign in 2022. In his career, Wood has four top-10 finishes with an average finish of 22.9.
