Some NASCAR races boil down to pure dumb luck.
Ty Majeski found that out first-hand at Richmond Raceway on Friday, where his first win of the 2025 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season was stolen by no fault of his own.
Majeski dominated Friday's eero 250 at the 0.75-mile short track, leading 143 of 250 laps. On Lap 200, however, Majeski's ThorSport Racing teammate, Matt Crafton, got loose as a result of oil on the track, sending Crafton hard into Majeski.

Both trucks spun and sustained significant damage, but Majeski was able to continue and still ran inside the top five when the final restart occurred.
But try as he might, Majeski couldn't catch, much less get around the No. 11 of Corey Heim, who drove off into the Virginia night to score his seventh win of 2025.
For Majeski, the defending Truck Series champion, it was a crushing defeat that encapsulates a difficult 2025 campaign.
On the bright side, Friday's performance did at least show that Majeski and the No. 98 team are capable of putting together dominant performances. But if Majeski wants to get back to victory lane and defend his 2024 championship, he'll have to close out races — even when Lady Luck deals him a bad hand.
