Team Penske put together one of its best performances of the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season at Richmond Raceway on Saturday.
A triple-serving of top-five finishes was on the menu in Saturday's Cook Out 400, with 2023 Cup Series champion Ryan Blaney leading the way in third.
Blaney led three times for 39 laps on Saturday and was battling race winner Austin Dillon for the lead late in the race, but was unable to run down Dillon after the final round of green flag pit stops. Alex Bowman also passed Blaney over the race's final run.
"Overall, great showing - all of Team Penske," Blaney told USA Network. "Me, Joey and Austin running top-five... by far the most fun I've ever had at this place."
Defending Cup Series champion Joey Logano followed up Blaney in fourth, with 2022 Daytona 500 champion Austin Cindric finishing fifth.
Logano's top-five effort came after the No. 22 suffered tire issues in practice and qualifying on Friday and had another flat tire during the race.
"Probably the most frustrating top-five you could imagine," Logano told USA Network. "I felt like our car was good enough to win. At the end, the car was really rippin', but just too little too late. Needed maybe 500 laps instead of 400."
Cindric's fifth-place result gives the fourth-year driver some much-needed momentum going into the Cup Series playoffs.
"Fantastic night for everybody at Team Penske," Cindric told USA Network. "Three cars in the top-five, next best thing is (a) win."
Team Penske is looking to keep the momentum rolling at Daytona, where, between Cindric, Blaney and Logano, it led 125 laps in the season-opening Daytona 500 on Feb. 16.
