The Indianapolis Colts' experiment with quarterback Anthony Richardson Sr. has been a failure.
We're now two years removed from the Colts drafting what they hoped to be their franchise quarterback with the fourth overall pick in 2023. And so far, it's been full of inconsistencies, injuries and now being demoted to backup behind Daniel Jones.
The Colts are pleading that they still believe in Richardson, but his agent knows things are rearing an ugly head right now.
No one is buying that the Colts haven’t quit on Anthony Richardson, even if it’s a reasonable decision.

Given the situation, teams are likely to start calling general manager Chris Ballard to see what the cost would be to acquire the 23-year-old.
While it hasn't been a great start for Richardson, several teams around the NFL could use him and should be willing to spend a mid-round draft pick to do so. Let's dive into the three that stand out above all.
First off, we've got the Minnesota Vikings. Quarterback J.J. McCarthy has the starting job locked up for now, but he's yet to start a regular-season NFL game, so there's a lot still to be decided.
The Vikings have the weapons, system and coaching staff that could get the most out of Richardson if it ever came to the point of him being the starter.
And we shouldn't forget how head coach Kevin O'Connell embraced Richardson on the field after a Colts-Vikings game last year.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are another team that will certainly be mentioned in the sweepstakes for Richardson.
Quarterback Aaron Rodgers has one year left in him (most likely), but after that, the future at the position is a massive question mark in Pittsburgh.
General manager Omar Khan has shown himself to be extremely aggressive on the trade market of late, so you can't count out the Steelers as a landing spot for ARich.
The last team that should kick tires on Richardson is the Las Vegas Raiders.
It's been a while since the Raiders had consistent quarterback play, something they've attempted to shore up with the offseason acquisition of Geno Smith. It's a nice move for now, but Smith turns 35 in October, so Vegas needs to continue looking for a longer-term option.
Whether Richardson is that guy remains to be seen, but you can't question some of the raw talent he possesses, making it worth it to at least take a flier.
