Christian Rasmussen drove the greatest 30 laps of his life en route to his first career NTT IndyCar Series victory on Sunday at the Milwaukee Mile.
The 25-year-old driver from Copenhagen, Denmark, got around four-time champion Alex Palou in the closing laps after slicing through the pack on fresh tires.

In his 30th career start, Rasmussen proved why his talent his so highly touted.
"Knew this was coming for Christian," team owner Ed Carpenter told Fox Sports. "He did an amazing job taking advantage of his new tires. Big team effort."
"Today was amazing," Rasmussen told Fox Sports. "We were talking (before the race) that if there was a late caution, we wanted to go on new tires because it's such an advantage. It was definitely the right choice."
Rasmussen is the first first-time IndyCar winner since Christian Lundgaard at Toronto in 2023, 39 races ago.
Palou and Scott McLaughlin completed the podium, with Alexander Rossi and Pato O'Ward rounding out the top-five. Christian Lundgaard, Josef Newgarden, David Malukas, Scott Dixon and Marcus Armstrong completed the top-10.
Other notable finishers include Colton Herta in 11th, Santino Ferrucci in 14th, Marcus Ericsson in 19th, Felix Rosenqvist in 22nd and Graham Rahal in 24th.
The 2025 NTT IndyCar Series season will conclude at Nashville Superspeedway on Aug. 31. Palou, the Indianapolis 500 winner, has already clinched the championship, his third in a row and fourth of his career.
