The Chicago Sky fell short in a hard-fought 79-74 loss to the red-hot Las Vegas Aces on Monday night, dropping to 9-28 on the season. Meanwhile, the Aces improved to 25-14, extending their winning streak to 11 games and clinching a playoff berth.
Despite the loss, star forward Angel Reese made WNBA history, breaking a record previously held by the legendary Tina Charles.
Reese recorded another double-double with 10 points, 17 rebounds, and four assists, surpassing Charles for the most double-doubles in a player’s first two seasons in league history — achieving it in just 61 career games compared to Charles’ 68.

It’s the 46th of her career, passing Tina Charles (45) for the most through a player’s first two seasons in WNBA history.

Less than 24 hours later, Reese turned her attention off the court, announcing exciting personal news: the launch of new merchandise on her self-named website.
"Miss Vogue. Miss 2X Met Gala. Plus everything else, so we had to upgrade the looks," Reese wrote on Tuesday. "New look. Same energy. New merch just dropped—and this time, we took it up a level. Link in bio — don’t miss it. OUT NOW!"

Angel Reese has enjoyed a standout second season on the court with the Chicago Sky, earning her second consecutive All-Star selection. Off the court, she’s making headlines as well, with her signature sneaker, the Angel Reese 1, set to drop on Sept. 18 as part of her Reebok brand deal.
Reese is also releasing a fourth color way, inspired by her love for Baltimore and the Ravens, called the "Charm City," which she debuted during a Sky game last weekend.
The Sky have already been eliminated from playoff contention, meaning Reese’s sophomore campaign will conclude after the remaining seven games — a rare downside in an otherwise remarkable start to her professional career.
Chicago finished 13-27 last season under former head coach Teresa Weatherspoon, and the Sky are on pace to finish with an even worse record this season under first-year head coach Tyler Marsh.
