Chalk up a ninth victory for NASCAR Xfinity Series rookie Connor Zilisch in the 2025 season.
Zilisch, a 19-year-old phenom who will be a full-time competitor in the NASCAR Cup Series in 2026, held off William Sawalich and won Saturday's NASCAR Xfinity Series regular season finale at Gateway after leading 121 of 160 laps.

The victory is Zilisch's fourth consecutive win and gives him plenty of momentum going into the postseason. Zilisch also locked up the regular season championship on Saturday, giving him 15 more playoff points.
Harrison Burton clinched the 12th and final Xfinity Series playoff spot after his cousin and challenger Jeb Burton crashed.
Sawalich, Christian Eckes, Brandon Jones and Jesse Love rounded out the top five, with Aric Almirola, Daniel Hemric, Parker Retzlaff, Corey Day and Daniel Dye completing the top 10.
Other notable finishers included Austin Hill in 12th, Taylor Gray — who also clinched a playoff spot on Saturday — in 17th, Harrison Burton in 22nd, defending series champion Justin Allgaier in 28th and Jeb Burton in 36th.
The NASCAR Xfinity Series playoffs will begin at Bristol Motor Speedway on Sept. 12. The Food City 300 will go green shortly after 7:30 p.m. ET, with coverage on the CW, PRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
