Pac-12 Conference trolls woeful UCLA in hilarious social media post

The Pac-12 Conference is having some fun with former league member UCLA, as the Bruins look like one of the worst teams in college football so far this season.

On Friday night, before a sparse home crowd, UCLA was a 15.5-point favorite over Mountain West Conference school New Mexico, but the Bruins got crushed by the Lobos, 35-10.

That embarrassing setback dropped UCLA to 0-3. As one might expect, the Bruins are getting roasted on social media. Reddit's college football X account wrote in a post that UCLA winning one game in 2025 "will be an absolute miracle."

Then, the Pac-12 Conference's official X page re-shared that Reddit post with a hilarious GIF of actor Jerry Seinfeld eating popcorn and saying, "That's a shame."

Wait. There's more. Reddit also had an X post where it joked, "UCLA reportedly exploring a move to the FCS Big Sky." The official X page of the Big Sky Conference retweeted with this reply: "No thank you."

Ouch.

UCLA fell to Utah at home in the season opener, 43-10. Then the Bruins, now a member of the Big Ten Conference, lost on the road to another Mountain West Conference member, UNLV, by a final of 30-23.

Friday evening's home result was a disaster for UCLA. The Bruins allowed 298 rushing yards and 450 total yards to New Mexico. They also committed 13 penalties for 116 yards.

UCLA is struggling under second-year coach DeShaun Foster

Regarding where things stand with the program, former UCLA star running back and Bruins second-year head coach DeShaun Foster said, per ESPN, "It's pretty low right now. I've been around this program for a long time, and it's just unfortunate what's going on at this moment. Just not executing."

In his first campaign leading his alma mater, Foster went 5-7 overall. Throw in his 0-3 mark in 2025, and his career record as UCLA's head coach is a poor 5-10. Needless to say, there is hot-seat chatter regarding Foster's job security.

Following Week 3 for the Bruins, UCLA is done with its non-conference slate and will enter its nine-game Big Ten docket. The Bruins have to play No. 1 Ohio State, No. 2 Penn State and No. 22 Indiana, among other league opponents.

UCLA bolted the Pac-12 for greener pastures, along with Southern California, Oregon and Washington. The Pac-12 is building itself back up, while the Bruins could find themselves in the Big Ten's basement when all is said and done.

If UCLA does end up winless in 2025, you better believe that the Pac-12 will have some fun with that, too.
