There's no doubt that 2025 has been a frustrating season for Brad Keselowski and the No. 6 RFK Racing team.
A horrendous start to the season for the 2012 champion was followed by a strong summer stretch that ended up being too little and too late in regard to the NASCAR Cup Series playoff picture.
At least some of that frustration could've been absolved had Keselowski won Saturday's Bass Pro Shops Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway — which he nearly did, finishing runner-up to Christopher Bell after a late restart.
Keselowski used the chrome horn in the final corner, but the contact from his No. 6 Ford to Bell's No. 20 Toyota wasn't enough to give Keselowski a shot at Bell on the frontstretch.
"Just (the) story of our kind of season," Keselowski told USA Network. "Took a shot on the restart and got the lane that couldn't launch. Just frustrating. We had a great car, great strategy. (We) put ourselves in position to, if not win, at least have a really, really solid day. On that last restart, (we) rolled the dice and just didn't get anything good."
Keselowski still has seven more opportunities to score a win in the 2025 season, but Bristol may have been his best chance. Instead of a checkered flag, it's a race he'll forever have to look back on as a what-if.
