Two Rangers rookies stand out during camp games against Flyers

The New York Rangers' rookie camp is underway, and after two games against the Philadelphia Flyers, big news stands out for fans of the Blueshirts.

Two youngsters, Brennan Othmann and Scott Morrow, paved the way in goal contributions as the Rangers dropped Friday's game, 4-3, and won Saturday's contest, 5-2.

Othmann, 22, for his part, registered one goal and three assists. Morrow, 22, scored one goal and had four assists.

Othmann not only shone in the offensive facet but also stood out as a play creator, adding four points in total during the showcase. Morrow opened the scoring in the second game with a goal on power play, demonstrating his capacity as an offensive defenseman.

Other prospects also shine for New York Rangers

Other Rangers prospects who have stood out in the rookie camp include Noah Laba (one goal, one assist), Jaroslav Chmelar (one goal, one assist), and Dylan Roobroeck (one goal, one assist).

Jackson Dorrington and Raoul Boilard also scored one goal each, while Evan Passmore, Artyom Gonchar and Bryce McConnell-Barker registered one assist each.

The Rangers' main camp begins Sept. 21, when they will face the New Jersey Devils. Just two days later, they will face the Boston Bruins and will finish the month of September with a double game against the New York Islanders.
