Memphis storms back to knock off SEC foe Arkansas

The largest FBS comeback of the 2025 season now belongs to the Memphis Tigers. Memphis rallied from down 28-10 in the second quarter to shock the Arkansas Razorbacks by a final score of 32-31.

It appeared that Arkansas would take the lead late in the fourth quarter as it was inside the Memphis 10-yard line. The drive came to an abrupt end as running back Mike Washington fumbled, and Memphis recovered it.

Memphis put the game on ice

With three timeouts remaining, the Razorbacks still had life. Arkansas got Memphis to a third-and-8, but that is when Tigers backup QB Arrington Maiden powered through for an 11-yard first-down run to give his team a win over their SEC opponent.

Memphis improved to 4-0 with the victory, and with no games remaining against ranked opponents, its schedule is highly favorable. Arkansas, on the other hand, fell to 2-2, and it plays seven of its final eight games against ranked opponents.

It very well could be a season-changing result for each team, and both must respond next week.
