Another NASCAR Cup Series championship run may be brewing in the fall New England air for Ryan Blaney.
Blaney led 116 of 301 laps and won Stage 1 in Sunday's Mobil 1 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, holding off Josh Berry and scoring his third win of the 2025 Cup Series season. The win ensures Blaney a berth in the penultimate round of the Cup Series playoffs for the fifth year in a row.
Blaney passed Josh Berry for the lead with 39 laps to go and held off his Ford teammate to score the win. The victory is Blaney's first at New Hampshire and the 16th of his Cup Series career.
We'll see you in the Round of 8, @Blaney.

"That was maybe the hardest 20 laps that I drove," Blaney said of holding off Berry in the closing laps. "I was trying to mind my stuff and pull Josh a little bit. He really started coming, (but) I saw him get super free. It was all I could do to hold him off. That was good racing, great racing."
Berry, William Byron, stage 1 winner and polesitter Joey Logano and Chase Elliott rounded out the top five, with Christopher Bell, Kyle Larson, Michael McDowell, Ross Chastain and Chase Briscoe completing the top 10.
Other notable finishers include Denny Hamlin in 12th, Austin Cindric in 17th, Tyler Reddick in 21st, Bubba Wallace in 26th and Ty Gibbs in 35th.
The Cup Series playoffs will continue at Kansas Speedway on Sunday. The Hollywood Casino 400 will go green shortly after 3 p.m. ET, with coverage on USA Network, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
