Each week of the NFL season, Yardbarker will be monitoring players who have suffered notable injuries.
From a Los Angeles Chargers running back to a San Francisco 49ers defensive lineman, here are five players we're tracking after Week 3:
Harris fell before Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert could hand the ball off to the RB on a play in the second quarter of a home game against the Denver Broncos. He was then carted off the field.
Following the 23-20 Chargers win, head coach Jim Harbaugh confirmed the RB suffered a non-contact Achilles injury. He's still undergoing imaging, but the prognosis doesn't sound good for the RB, who finished with 28 yards on six carries against Denver.
Achilles tears are season-ending and take a year to recover from. If Harris did that, it would be a massive blow for the RB, who signed a fully guaranteed one-year, $5.25M deal with the Chargers in free agency.
The Chargers (3-0), meanwhile, would turn to rookie Omarion Hampton as their primary back. The North Carolina product rushed for a season-high 70 yards and one touchdown on 19 carries against the Broncos.
Conner suffered a severe right ankle injury on a nine-yard carry in the third quarter of Sunday's road game against the 49ers. Players took a knee, and Arizona's bench checked on him before he was carted off the field.
He was later ruled out for the remainder of the season.
Conner was the engine that drives the Cardinals' offense. He has surpassed the 1,000-rushing-yard mark over the past two seasons. Through three games in 2025, he ran for 95 yards and one TD on 32 carries.
The Cardinals (2-1) will need more from second-year RB Trey Benson. The 2024 third-round pick has looked promising thus far with 21 carries for 125 yards in three games.
Additionally, Arizona will have to lean more heavily on its passing attack. Cardinals QB Kyler Murray has passed for just 542 yards in three games.
Lamb suffered a left ankle injury in the first quarter of Sunday's road game against the Chicago Bears. Chicago linebacker Noah Sewell landed on the WR's leg while he was carrying the ball out of the backfield.
He played one more play in the second quarter. Per Ed Werder of WFAA-TV in Dallas, Sunday's 31-14 loss was just the second time Lamb finished a game without a reception.
According to The Athletic's Jon Machota, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Lamb's injury is not as severe as it could've been. That's a positive for the Cowboys (1-2) and quarterback Dak Prescott, who struggled to move the ball without the star pass-catcher.
Against Chicago, Prescott finished 31-of-40 passing with 251 yards, one TD and two interceptions. He also posted a slightly below-average 80.3 passer rating.
Evans was ruled out because of a hamstring injury in the second half of Sunday's home game against the New York Jets. He finished with four receptions for 33 yards and one TD catch.
In his postgame news conference, Buccaneers HC Todd Bowles confirmed the WR suffered a hamstring injury and didn't provide more details. Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio reported the WR will undergo an MRI on Monday.
If Evans misses time, the Buccaneers (3-0) can count on rookie WR Emeka Egbuka. The former Ohio State Buckeye had season highs in receptions (eight) and receiving yards (85) in the 29-27 win over the Jets.
However, Evans missing games would threaten his pursuit of a record. This season, he's aiming to break Pro Football Hall of Famer Jerry Rice's record for consecutive seasons with 1,000 receiving yards or more. The 12-year veteran has hit this mark 11 times. He has 14 receptions for 140 yards and one TD catch in three games this season.
Bosa departed Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals with a knee injury. As he walked off the field, he gave someone a thumbs-down while talking with the 49ers medical staff.
In his postgame news conference, 49ers HC Kyle Shanahan said he believes Bosa avoided an ACL tear. The coach added the DE will undergo more testing to confirm the ACL isn't torn and to prepare a recovery timetable.
It's easy to argue Bosa — 2022 Defensive Player of the Year — is the 49ers' best defensive player. Through three games, he has 17 total tackles and two sacks.
This could place more responsibility on rookie DE Mykel Williams. The former Georgia Bulldog has eight total tackles in three games.
