There's nothing in football quite like watching a massive lineman run with the ball and on Sunday, football fans were treated to a remarkable big-man run.
Philadelphia Eagles defensive lineman Jordan Davis sealed the 33-26 comeback win against the Los Angeles Rams with a blocked field goal returned for a 61-yard touchdown. The Rams were in position to win the game if kicker Joshua Karty made the 44-yard attempt with three seconds left in the game.
However, the Eagles' special teams came up with the biggest play of the young 2025 season for the reigning Super Bowl champions.

The Eagles' special teams unit came through with the block, and the 336-pound Davis scooped the ball and ran blisteringly fast to the end zone to end the game. According to the NFL, Davis is the heaviest player in league history to return a blocked kick for a touchdown longer than 50 yards. On his run, he topped out at 18.59 mph, a fact Davis wasn't sure of when he was barreling toward the end zone.

"I ain't run that fast since probably [at] my combine," the former Georgia Bulldog player said in a postgame press conference. "I don't know what miles per hour I hit, but I'm pretty sure it was something crazy. This time last year, it would be hard for me to catch my breath, I'll tell you that."
Along with moving as fast, if not faster, than some skill players, Davis reset a record most people probably weren't aware of. According to Next Gen Stats, Davis's top speed of 18.59 mph on his return is the fastest recorded by a player over 330 pounds since at least 2017.
Eagles defensive tackle Jordan Davis, who blocked a potential game-winning field goal and returned it for a touchdown as time expired, reached a top speed of 18.59 mph on the return, the fastest speed by a player over 330 pounds since at least 2017.

Davis' touchdown wasn't even the first blocked field goal of the game. Philadelphia defensive tackle Jalen Carter blocked one earlier in the game as the reigning champs rallied from a 24-7 deficit in the second half.
Davis' run was icing on the cake of Philly's comeback win, but also a good reminder that even when the champs have an off day, opposing teams should never count them out.
