What the NASCAR Cup Series playoff standings look like after New Hampshire

Ryan Blaney earned a spot in the Round of 8 of the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs with his win at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Sunday. Here's what the playoff grid looks like with two races remaining in the Round of 12.

A look at the Cup Series playoff standings

1. Ryan Blaney (win)

Blaney locked up a Round of 8 spot for the fifth year in a row with his dominant win on Sunday.

2. William Byron (+47)

A strong third-place run on Sunday has the two-time Daytona 500 winner sitting pretty after New Hampshire.

3. Kyle Larson (+41)

Larson finished seventh on Sunday after running inside the top five for much of the race.

4. Christopher Bell (+29)

A sixth-place finish gives Bell a solid cushion going into the second race of the Round of 12 at Kansas.

5. Denny Hamlin (+27)

Hamlin didn't maximize his day with a 12th-place finish, but he has a great shot to gain on the cut line at Kansas.

6. Joey Logano (+24)

Logano had exactly the kind of day he needed on Sunday, finishing fourth and winning Stage 2.

7. Chase Elliott (+14)

Elliott also had a strong day when he needed one. The 2020 champion finished fifth at NHMS and is in a solid points spot going into Kansas.

8. Chase Briscoe (+12)

The Southern 500 winner is 12 points above the cut line after finishing 10th on Sunday, making him the last man in the provisional Round of 8 field going into Kansas.

9. Ross Chastain (-12)

Chastain finished ninth on Sunday, but it wasn't enough to vault him above the cut line.

10. Austin Cindric (-19)

Cindric faded to 17th and is in a tough points spot going into Kansas.

11. Tyler Reddick (-23)

Reddick also faded after running top 10 early. The 2024 regular season champion finished 21st.

12. Bubba Wallace (-27)

Wallace struggled mightily all afternoon, finishing 26th. He needs a strong run at Kansas in the worst way.
