Toronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer was livid after some bad calls went against him on Tuesday night, leading him to make a pretty bold claim about Major League Baseball.
Springer and the Blue Jays are trying to hold off the New York Yankees in a tight race for the AL East, but Toronto lost to Boston on Tuesday night. During the game, Springer was left irate when back-to-back bad calls went against him in the second inning.
Springer was still fuming about the calls an inning later. In a new Jomboy Media video, the outfielder is even seen venting at manager John Schneider and suggesting that the league wants the Yankees to win the division.
“If they want New York to win, just tell me and give it to them already,” Springer seemingly said to Schneider. (Note: the video also contains strong language.)

While Springer was certainly the victim of some bad calls, they were just errors and not part of some nefarious plot. He probably does not even really believe that, but in the heat of the moment, he was angry enough that the thought crossed his mind.
It is also worth noting that earlier this month, MLB had to publicly admit to blowing a call that went against the Yankees.
The Blue Jays and Yankees are tied for the AL East lead.
