Brandon Jones won Saturday's NASCAR Xfinity Series playoff race at Kansas Speedway. Here's what the Xfinity Series playoff grid looks like going into the Round of 12 elimination race at the Charlotte Roval on Oct. 4.
1. Brandon Jones (Win)
Jones scored a clutch win to ensure that he'll continue to chase his first career Xfinity Series title.
2. Connor Zilisch (Points)
With his 16th consecutive top-five finish, Zilisch made history and locked himself into the Round of 8 as he looks to cap his historic rookie campaign with a championship.
3. Justin Allgaier (Points)
Like his JR Motorsports teammate in Zilisch, the defending Xfinity Series champion also locked up a Round of 8 berth on points, finishing 13th on Saturday.
4. Sam Mayer (+43)
Following a 16th-place finish on Saturday, Mayer can breathe easy going into the Roval — a track he's won the last two races at.
5. Taylor Gray (+16)
Gray, an Xfinity Series rookie, has a solid gap to the cut line after a sixth-place run on Saturday.
6. Sheldon Creed (+12)
Creed finished fifth on Saturday and will need a decent performance at the Roval in order to transfer to the Round of 8.
7. Carson Kvapil (+9)
A 15th-place finish on Saturday certainly wasn't ideal for Kvapil, who will have to have a big day at Charlotte in order to hold on to a Round of 8 spot.
8. Jesse Love (+8)
Love finished seventh on Saturday, but he's the man squarely on the bubble going into the Roval.
9. Nick Sanchez (-5)
Despite an inspired eighth-place drive on Saturday, Sanchez is in danger of being a first-round exit in his rookie season.
10. Austin Hill (-7)
Hill finished third on Saturday, but his lack of playoff points is severely hurting his chances of advancing.
11. Harrison Burton (-8)
Burton will need to drive the race of his road course career at the Roval after finishing 20th on Saturday at Kansas.
12. Sammy Smith (-14)
A fourth-place finish on Saturday wasn't enough to move Smith closer to the cut line. He'll need a huge points day at Charlotte to advance.
