Injuries have been ravaging the Baltimore Ravens on both sides of the ball, and they only managed to get worse on Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs when starting cornerback Marlon Humphrey and starting tackle Ronnie Stanley both left the game. But those injuries are nothing compared to the most concerning one that happened on Sunday when starting quarterback Lamar Jackson exited the game in the second half of their 37-20 defeat.
As the Ravens were getting dominated on the scoreboard in the second half, Jackson exited the game after taking a hit during an incomplete pass attempt. It did not look like anything major at the time that it happened, Jackson was immediately lifted from the game with an ice pack wrapped around his leg.
He was replaced by backup QB Cooper Rush.

The severity of the injury is not yet known, and head coach John Harbaugh was not eager to divulge any specifics after the game, only saying it isn't season-ending for Jackson or any of the other players that left Sunday's game.
He would also not say if Jackson could have stayed in the game if it was closer.

Jackson had been one of the few bright spots for the Ravens through the first three weeks of the season, and he was certainly not to blame for their 1-2 start entering play on Sunday, but he really struggled on Sunday. Not only did he turn the football over twice (an interception and a fumble), but he also took three sacks and was under constant pressure all day.
It would be difficult, but the Ravens can withstand injuries to almost any player on their roster and still have a chance. An extended absence for Jackson would be significantly worse. The one drawback with Jackson in his career is he has had a tendency to miss some games, and the Ravens have struggled to win in his absence. Since the start of the 2018 season — Jacksons' rookie year in the NFL — the Ravens are just 8-15 in games Jackson has not started.
