The Indiana Fever kept their WNBA Finals hopes alive on Sunday with a 90-83 win over the Las Vegas Aces, tying the semifinal series 2-2. They withstood a game-high 31 points from Aces star A'ja Wilson to force winner-take-all Game 5 on Tuesday in Las Vegas.
Center Aliyah Boston found success inside for the Fever, putting up a historic statline of 24 points, 14 rebounds, five assists, two blocks and two steals. All-Star guard Kelsey Mitchell led the team with 25 points, drawing MVP chants from the home crowd at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
Indiana did enough right to win, but head coach Stephanie White was not satisfied with her team's performance in the elimination game.
"What we did today is not going to be enough for Tuesday," White said bluntly in her postgame press conference.
Boston agreed with her head coach, pointing to the Fever's sloppy late-game execution in a postgame interview with ESPN's Holly Rowe.
"Just look at the end of the game," Boston said. "We can't really have that, especially against a team that has experience winning championships."
The Aces won back-to-back WNBA titles in 2022 and 2023 with a similar core featuring Wilson as the star and Becky Hammon as the coach.
But the Fever have shown an ability to rise to the occasion with their backs against the wall this postseason, even without a long list of injured players including Caitlin Clark and Sophie Cunningham.

They are now 3-0 in elimination games this postseason after winning two against the Atlanta Dream in the first round, including Game 3 on the road. White said they must channel that experience one more time.
"We've been through everything," White said of her resilient team. "The desperation and the urgency that we play with when we're in those positions has been exactly what we need. We've just got to bottle that up and take it with us."
The winner of Game 5 will advance to the 2025 WNBA Finals to face the Phoenix Mercury.
Game 5 tips off in Las Vegas on Tuesday night at 9:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2.
