Adjusting to the NFL can be difficult for rookies, but each season, a few stand out almost immediately. Here are five from Week 4:
Why did Dart (pick No. 25) sit behind QB Russell Wilson through the Giants' first three games? On Sunday, he led New York (1-3) to a 21-18 home upset over the Los Angeles Chargers (3-1).
Per CBS, Dart became the first QB over the past 20 years to win his first career start against a team 3-0 or better. The last to do so was Marc Bulger with the Los Angeles Rams, then based in St. Louis, in 2002 (via CBS Sports' John Breech).
"It was just special to get the first [win]," Dart said in his postgame news conference. "This is just the start."
Dart will be without star wide receiver Malik Nabers after he suffered a season-ending ACL tear in Week 4. If the QB continues to establish himself as a dual threat, that would help the offense. Against L.A., he completed 13-of-20 passes for 111 yards and one touchdown and rushed for 54 yards and one TD on 10 carries.
Dart's debut was the main storyline against the Chargers, but Carter's performance shouldn't be ignored.
Pro Football Focus credited Carter (pick No. 3) with a season-high eight pressures, including five QB hits. This contributed to Chargers QB Justin Herbert's struggles. He tossed two interceptions and posted a subpar 39.6 QBR, a season low.
With Carter and Dart flashing promise early, Giants fans should feel more optimistic about the team's trajectory.
"The future is now," said Carter, a Penn State product, in a postgame news conference.
Jeanty (pick No. 6) breaking out was a silver lining for the Raiders (1-3) in Sunday's 25-24 home loss to the Chicago Bears (2-2).
The former Boise State star rushed for a 64-yard TD late in the second quarter and finished with 155 yards (138 rushing and 17 receiving) and three TDs (one rushing and two receiving).

In Week 4, Jeanty went back to his pre-snap stance at Boise State. This offseason, Raiders offensive coordinator Chip Kelly told the RB to stand like a basketball player playing defense rather than standing upright with his hands at his sides.
After Sunday's performance, the Raiders should let Jeanty stand however he wants. In Weeks 1-3, he had just 144 rushing yards.
The Texans (1-3) may have found a replacement for starting RB Joe Mixon, who hasn't played this season because of a foot/ankle issue. In Sunday's 26-0 home win over the Tennessee Titans (0-4), Marks (pick No. 116) ran for 69 yards and one TD on 17 carries. The former Southern California star also had four receptions for 50 yards and one TD.
"I'm making the defense kind of don't know what you're gonna do," Marks said postgame, per Aaron Wilson of KPRC-TV in Houston. "He can run it between the tackles, outside, catch the ball out of the backfield. I think that's a big plus for the offense."
Marks making Houston's offense more unpredictable benefits Texans QB C.J. Stroud, who's been under duress this season. Through four games, he has taken 10 sacks, the seventh most in the NFL.
Falcons star cornerback A.J. Terrell Jr. has missed the past two games because of a hamstring injury, but Watts has stepped up during his absence.
In Sunday's 34-27 home victory over the Washington Commanders (2-2), the former Notre Dame star grabbed an interception and finished with the team's second-most tackles (six). His efforts helped Atlanta improve to 2-2.
After the Falcons took Watts with pick No. 96 in the draft, PFF listed the selection as one of the biggest steals of Day 2. That assessment looks correct. Through four games, he leads the team in interceptions (two) and is tied for second in tackles (23).
