It was a huge weekend for the Ole Miss Rebels.
Coming into their Week 5 game against the No. 4 LSU Tigers, they found themselves ranked No. 13 in the nation. After the game, a 24-19 win for the Rebels, they're now the No. 4 team in college football, and head coach Lane Kiffin has to feel like he has a legitimate College Football Playoff contender on his hands.
In the meantime, he's also building a tough-looking class on the 2026 recruiting trail, and Ole Miss capped off its big weekend with one of the bigger flips of this recruiting cycle.
Dorian Barney, a four-star cornerback from Carrollton, Georgia, had been committed to the Michigan Wolverines since early July. He's now committed to the Rebels, according to Rivals' Hayes Fawcett.

Barney was in town this past weekend to see Ole Miss beat LSU, and it was that visit (and likely that win) that sealed the deal for Kiffin and the Rebels in the recruiting battle.
“The environment was crazy,” Barney told Steve Wiltfong of Rivals. “My first time going to a Ole Miss game didn’t disappoint me. The direction (Kiffin is) leading the team in is great, he’s one of the best coaches in college football. If they keep playing this way I see a Natty in them.”
The Rebels have always been in the running for Barney. When he committed to Michigan, Ole Miss was amongst his favorites alongside Texas A&M, Penn State and Georgia Tech. Notably, the four-star corner was also at one point committed to Alabama.
Now, it's up to Kiffin and his staff to keep this commitment. That's easier said than done in this era — Barney's two previous commitments are proof of that — but for now, this is a huge recruiting win for the Rebels.
According to the 247Sports Composite, Barney is the No. 22 cornerback in the nation.
