Tyreek Hill underwent surgery on Tuesday after he suffered a gruesome leg injury the night before, and the Miami Dolphins wide receiver shared a video from his hospital bed before the procedure.

Hill dislocated his left knee when he was tackled during the Dolphins’ 27-21 win over the New York Jets on Monday night at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Fla. His leg twisted underneath him as he was tackled by Jets safety Malachi Moore, and it was immediately clear that Hill had suffered a severe injury. You can see a video of the play here.

Hill reportedly sustained several torn ligaments and could be sidelined beyond the start of the 2026 season. He sent a message to his fans before undergoing reconstructive surgery on Tuesday.

“I’m about to go in for this surgery. Keep your boy in your prayers,” Hill said. “You guys have been awesome, man. Fins Nation, just the whole entire NFL, have been amazing and sending me lots of love and lots of prayers. I’m absolutely honored. Granted, the situation, but I love you guys so much and hope to see you soon.”

Hill was in good spirits even as he was carted to the locker room on Monday night. The 31-year-old seems to be maintaining a positive attitude, even if he has an incredibly long road to recovery.

Hill has no remaining injury guarantees on the three-year, $90 million extension he signed with the Dolphins prior to last season. There had already been rumors that he could be traded, so it is very possible that he has played his last snap in Miami.
