Trevor Lawrence lost a fumble on a wild play at the goal line during his Jacksonville Jaguars’ Week 5 “Monday Night Football” game against the Kansas City Chiefs at EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville.

The Jags were down 7-0 early in the second quarter and had a 4th-and-goal at the Kansas City 1-yard line. Lawrence took a snap and attempted to jump over the pile for a touchdown. He reached the ball out to try to break the goal line, but the Chiefs were able to knock the ball out of his hands before he crossed the goal line. The result was a game-changing fumble and the Chiefs getting the ball at the 3.

Instead of Jacksonville tying the game at 7, the Chiefs drove the length of the field and scored a touchdown to make it 14-0. That was a big swing.

Lawrence has been doing much more running this season than he did last year when he rushed 26 times for 119 yards and three touchdowns. He’s on pace to set a career-high in rushing attempts. He just needs to hold onto the football in the most critical situations.
