Don't expect Odell Beckham Jr. to land with another team after latest news

Free-agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.'s slim chances of getting signed have just decreased.

In an interview with "The Pivot Podcast" published Tuesday, Beckham said he has accepted a six-game suspension for violating the NFL's performance-enhancing drug policy. The WR revealed he failed a PED test last season while playing for the Miami Dolphins.

Beckham insisted he didn't knowingly take any banned substances. The former New York Giants star said the league didn't tell him what PED he tested positive for and said, "Your testosterone levels are too high."

How suspension impacts Odell Beckham Jr.'s chances of getting signed

The suspension will start Tuesday when it appears on the NFL's official transaction wire. Pair it with his age, and that makes him an even less attractive option for WR-needy teams. Beckham turns 33 on Nov. 5.

Plus, Beckham has looked like a shell of his former self since tearing his ACL while playing for the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LVI. The three-time Pro Bowler has played for the Baltimore Ravens and the Dolphins over the past two seasons. During this span, he has had just three touchdown catches.

The Dolphins released him in December 2024 after he failed to become a consistent contributor. In nine games with Miami, he had career lows in receptions (nine) and receiving yards (55).

However, Beckham has a short list of teams he wants to play for. The WR said he'd like to join the Pittsburgh Steelers, Kansas City Chiefs and two of his former teams, the Rams and Giants.

But would any of these clubs be interested in Beckham? They could find better options before the trade deadline on Nov. 4 at 4 p.m. ET, perhaps Las Vegas Raiders WR Jakobi Meyers. Through five games, he has 25 receptions for 290 yards.

With that in mind, don't expect Beckham to land with another team. Teams weren't interested in him before the suspension, and they won't be after.
