Members of Vladimir Guerrero Jr.’s family were involved in an ugly incident in Wednesday’s Game 4 of the ALDS.
Video went viral on Thursday showing family members of the Toronto Blue Jays star Guerrero getting a can thrown at them during Wednesday’s game against the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium in New York, N.Y. The video showed some sort of verbal exchange occurring before the can was thrown. Several members of the Guerrero entourage stood angrily in response to the can throw, but the incident did not escalate any further from there.

MLB reporter Hector Gomez revealed that one of the Guerrero family members present was former MLB player Gabriel Guerrero.
The Blue Jays won Wednesday’s game by a 5-2 final score to end the Yankees’ season. It is unclear exactly during the game the incident with Guerrero’s family took place. But Toronto took a four-run lead by the eighth inning, sending Yankees fans streaming for the exits early.
Guerrero in particular torched the Yankees during the series. He hit home runs in each of the first three games, leading to everyone on social media joking about how Guerrero owned the Yankees. The five-time All-Star Guerrero has also been vocal in the past about how much he loathes the AL East division rival Yankees.
With the Blue Jays now having advanced to the ALCS with their victory over the Yankees, they will await the winner of the Detroit Tigers-Seattle Mariners divisional series on the other side of the AL bracket.
