Jeremiyah Love is a high-profile running back. Playing for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish will do that for you.
Love is far from just a member of the all-hype team, though, which is sometimes a place reserved for players at blue-chip schools like Notre Dame, Michigan, etc...
He can back up his hype, and at 6-foot, 214 pounds, he can pack a punch. Love also has straight-line speed in bunches, though, so he's just as able to run through a gap and past a second-line defender as he is to run that player over.
A junior from St. Louis, Missouri, Love has the goods to be in the NFL when all is said and done with his college career. To that point, it's worth noting that ESPN NFL Draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr. is extremely high on him.
So high, in fact, that he compares him favorably to a former college football legend and ranks him as the No. 2 player on his big board for the 2026 NFL Draft.
"Love reminds me a lot of Reggie Bush," Kiper Jr. wrote. The 20-year-old has vision and burst between the tackles and to the outside, and he can break tackles with ease (29 forced missed tackles on the season). Once he gets into space, he can take it to the house with his breakaway speed too. But Love isn't only an outstanding runner. He also is a high-impact pass catcher. An NFL team will be able to flank him out wide and create a whole other dimension of the offense.
A comparison to Reggie Bush is a big deal because the former USC Trojan is one of the greatest to ever do it.
In three seasons at USC, he rushed for 3,169 yards and 25 touchdowns while also adding 1,301 yards and 13 touchdowns as a wide receiver. Bush won the Heisman Trophy as a junior and was selected No. 2 overall by the New Orleans Saints in the 2006 NFL Draft.
Bush played 11 seasons in the NFL and had a great career.
Love is in his third season at Notre Dame and he's, so far, rushed for 2,040 yards and 26 touchdowns while adding 474 yards and six touchdowns through the air.
This season, he's rushed 100 times for 530 yards and eight touchdowns in six games while adding 14 catches for 160 yards and three touchdowns as a receiver.
Just a few weekends ago against Arkansas, he put up four total touchdowns (two on the ground and two as a receiver).

Love can truly do everything for the Fighting Irish, and his skill set will absolutely translate to the NFL level.
Is he the second-best player in the upcoming NFL Draft? Heck, could he be the best overall player?
Only time will tell.
