Rinus VeeKay joins Juncos Hollinger Racing for 2026 IndyCar campaign

If any NTT IndyCar Series driver deserves to sing Johnny Cash's 1996 hit, "I've Been Everywhere", it's Rinus VeeKay.

VeeKay, 25, will be with his third IndyCar organization in as many seasons when the 2026 NTT IndyCar Series season begins on March 1 on the streets of St. Petersburg, Florida. On Tuesday, it was announced that VeeKay will join Juncos Hollinger Racing — the team he drove for during the 2019 Indy NXT season — for the 2026 season.

Rinus VeeKay is excited to join JHR

"It was an easy match," VeeKay said in a news conference on Tuesday. "I think everybody is excited to start the new season."

VeeKay drove for Ed Carpenter Racing from 2019-2024 before joining Dale Coyne Racing in 2025. Going into 2026, he knew he would have to make a decision between staying with DCR or driving for a new team — and JHR was the front-runner.

"For me, it was really between Dale Coyne Racing and Juncos Hollinger Racing," VeeKay said. "Those were, for me, the big options for 2026. It's always hard to make a decision like that, especially having a very successful season with Dale Coyne Racing in 2025. You think about it. You look in some different kind of perspectives. For me this clearly was the best move for me for the future."

VeeKay sees an organization in JHR that can grow with him as a driver and turn into a consistent contender.

"I see a lot of ambition, a lot of good people with incredible track records working at the team, and I think the team is a lot better than what they have been able to show," VeeKay said. "I think with me coming into the team, showing what I've done to Dale Coyne Racing last year, not only as a driver, but also in really leading the team into making the right decisions, altogether I think we can do really well.

Yeah, I mean, the car is already great, but then on the road and street courses I can help them a lot, and I think we can be a consistent contender for top 5s and top 10s."

VeeKay's first season with Juncos Hollinger Racing will be his seventh in NTT IndyCar Series competition.
