Dallas Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey has been practically automatic since he entered the NFL in 2023, and it took him less than three seasons to set an amazing league record.
Aubrey converted a 61-yard field goal during the second quarter of the Cowboys' Week 2 game against the Washington Commanders on Sunday. The kick was the fifth in Aubrey's career that he has made from 60 yards or longer.
That is an NFL record.
Aubrey is the only kicker in NFL history to make five kicks of 60-plus yards. The fact that he has accomplished that in just 41 career games is nothing shy of incredible.

Aubrey went 3-for-3 on his field goal attempts in the game, which the Cowboys won 44-22. He also converted kicks from 47 yards and 29 yards.
Entering Sunday, Aubrey had converted 28-of-31 field goal attempts from 50 yards or longer during his young NFL career. Those numbers are comparable to what many kickers would expect on their extra-point attempts, but Aubrey does it from long range.
Aubrey is just 30 years old, so he has his entire career in front of him if he can stay healthy. He should have plenty more field goals from 60 yards or longer by the time he is finished. In fact, that record might become untouchable by the time he is done building on it.
