Losing four straight games entering their bye week, the Baltimore Ravens needed a massive reset heading into Week 8.
With injuries to key players such as quarterback Lamar Jackson, who left the game against the Kansas City Chiefs with a hamstring injury, the bye week offered him and others time to get healthy ahead of a matchup with the red-hot Chicago Bears, who have won four straight games.
Unfortunately for the Ravens, Jackson remains a question mark to play on Sunday.
When the Ravens returned from their bye week on Monday, Jackson did not participate in practice. According to Jamison Hensley of ESPN, the two-time NFL Most Valuable Player remained on the sidelines with a sore hamstring and is questionable to play on Sunday.
When asked about the status of his injured players for Sunday, head coach John Harbaugh said he thinks, “all the guys are working really hard to get back.” However, he declined to comment on Jackson.
"I think all the guys are working really hard to get back, I can tell you that," Harbaugh said after Monday's practice to Hensley. "We'll see who's back and who practices on Wednesday. I don't want to comment on any individual guys."
Getting Jackson back healthy to play a Bears team whose defense won them their game against the New Orleans Saints is a must, as backup quarterback Cooper Rush has not done a good job filling in. In the two games since taking the reins as the starter, Rush has thrown four interceptions (three against the Houston Texans) and has thrown for 251 yards in two games.
The difference in points per game has been drastic without Jackson, with the Ravens scoring 32.8 points when he’s playing and only 6.5 points since he’s been out.

All eyes will be on Jackson's status throughout the week, as Rush has failed to prove he’s adequate and the season is precariously close to slipping away from the Ravens.
