Entering Week 9 in college football, six FBS teams remain undefeated. But which one is the most likely to run the table in the 2025 regular season?
Those without a blemish are No. 1 Ohio State, No. 2 Indiana, No. 3 Texas A&M, No. 7 Georgia Tech, No. 11 BYU and Navy.
These half-dozen squads are ranked below, with the team that is most likely to finish the 2025 regular season undefeated listed last, and the group that is least likely to go undefeated listed first.
BYU (7-0) - Combined record of opponents: 26-9
The Cougars welcome TCU and UCF to town. They go on the road to Iowa State, No. 14 Texas Tech and No. 21 Cincinnati. BYU is the least likely to go undefeated because the Cougars have a brutal road docket.
Navy (6-0) - Combined record of opponents: 29-13
The Midshipmen host Florida Atlantic and No. 18 South Florida. They travel to North Texas, No. 12 Notre Dame and Memphis, while battling storied rival Army on a neutral field. Navy has a tough home game against South Florida, and the Midshipmen will be a heavy underdog on the road versus the Fighting Irish.
Texas A&M (7-0) - Combined record of opponents: 20-15
The Aggies host South Carolina and Samford. They go on the road to No. 20 LSU, No. 15 Missouri and No. 22 Texas. While Texas A&M is well on its way to making the 12-team College Football Playoff, the Aggies' three-game road schedule is daunting.
Georgia Tech (7-0) - Combined record of opponents: 19-16
The Yellow Jackets host Syracuse and Pittsburgh, while they travel to NC State and Boston College. Georgia Tech plays in-state rival No. 5 Georgia at a neutral site. Georgia Tech has an excellent chance to go undefeated in ACC play, but the Yellow Jackets' contest with Georgia is a huge hurdle.
Indiana (7-0) - Combined record of opponents: 14-21
The Hoosiers host UCLA and Wisconsin. They head to Maryland, Penn State and Purdue. Indiana has the easiest remaining schedule in terms of the win-loss record of its opponents. The Hoosiers are extremely likely to finish unblemished, although they do have three road games.
Ohio State (7-0) - Combined record of opponents: 16-19
The Buckeyes host Penn State, UCLA and Rutgers. They travel to Purdue and No. 25 Michigan. Ohio State is the most likely to finish the 2025 regular season without a loss. For one, the Buckeyes are arguably the nation's best team, although Indiana has a claim for that title, too. Three of Ohio State's encounters are in Columbus. The Buckeyes' annual rivalry game against the Wolverines is the toughest one left for Ohio State, which is a virtual shoo-in to secure a CFP bid.
