Bralan Womack from Flowood, Mississippi, is one of the elite recruits in the 2026 class, and he's been committed to the Auburn Tigers since this summer.
Womack, a five-star safety, chose the Tigers over Florida, Ohio State and Texas A&M after official visits to each program. He's Hugh Freeze's top 2026 commitment by a mile, and he's a massive bright light for the Tigers as they struggle through a 2025 season that currently sees them at 3-4 and on a four-game losing streak, all to ranked teams.
Womack provides hope for the future for Auburn, but there could be some bumpy roads ahead for the Tigers. First and foremost, the five-star expressed frustration in Auburn's defense after a 23-17 loss to No. 16 Missouri this past weekend.
It has now come out that despite his commitment, he's decided to take a visit with Brian Kelly and the LSU Tigers.
He's expected to be in Baton Rouge this weekend to watch the No. 20 Tigers (5-2) take on the No. 3-ranked Texas A&M Aggies (7-0).

As mentioned, Womack voiced his displeasure with the Tigers' defense after the loss to Mizzou.
"The honest truth in how I'm feeling right now, the defense has got to stop leaving the game up to the offense," Womack told Auburn Undercover. "At this point, the defense — in the college world we live in now — you've got to score 20 or more points to compete. And we've done that zero times in SEC play. It doesn't look like it's going to change. Nothing's changing. Defense, we had some times we could've gotten off the field. But when the time prevailed, we got you the ball two extra times and did nothing with it. You've got to capitalize on offense. All the teams that are successful right now in the college world are putting numbers on the scoreboard. We're not doing it."
That's an extremely harsh criticism coming from a commitment, and a five-star at that. Usually, commits are pretty "ride or die" with the programs that they've fallen in love with through the ups and downs. Even if there is tension, it normally doesn't come out like this. It's a valid criticism of Auburn's defense, but a heated one.
Womack did reaffirm his commitment to Auburn in the very same breath, though.
"It doesn't affect my commitment at all," Womack said.
While it is one thing to say that, his actions may suggest that he's interested in looking elsewhere. Maybe he's simply wanting to take in what should be an awesome game between LSU and Texas A&M, but you know Kelly and the LSU staff are going to be all about trying to court him while he's in town.
It's worth noting that this is an unofficial visit, so LSU will be limited in the type of contact that it can have with Womack. Especially on the heels of those comments, though, it certainly seems as if Kelly and LSU have an opportunity to go after a big-time flip.
According to the 247Sports Composite, Womack is the No. 1 safety in the 2026 class and the No. 14 player overall.
