Prior to their biggest game of the year against the Kansas City Chiefs, the Buffalo Bills made a flurry of roster moves.
Tuesday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Buffalo was adding both defensive tackle Jordan Phillips and safety Jordan Poyer to its active roster.
Phillips has appeared in three games this season, collecting four tackles, one tackle for loss and one sack. Poyer has appeared twice this season, totaling six tackles in those two games.
On the flip side of Phillips and Poyer being added to the roster, there was bad news out of Buffalo as well. Star defensive tackle Ed Oliver was placed on injured reserve due to a torn bicep.
Oliver has been stellar when on the field this season, totaling 12 tackles, seven tackles for loss and three sacks. Injuries, though, have hindered his ability to stay on the field and that will further continue.
We have have the following roster moves:

In a big-time showdown against the Chiefs on Sunday, the loss of Oliver may be very big to overcome. The Kansas City rushing attack ranks ninth in the NFL at 126.5 yards per game, and that is well within reach without Oliver's presence on the defensive line.
Both Phillips and Poyer will need to step up in a major way for the Bills to continue their regular-season winning streak against the Chiefs.
