Jesse Love wins NASCAR Xfinity Series season finale, 2025 championship at Phoenix

Jesse Love raced his way into the history books on Saturday.

After a caution for Ryan Sieg bunched the NASCAR Xfinity Series field up late in Saturday's season finale at Phoenix Raceway, Love's pit crew got him off pit road first.

But Love initially lost the lead to Connor Zilisch — Love's best friend — on the restart before taking it back with 24 laps to go.

Love was in control for the rest of the way, scoring his second win of 2025, the third of his career championship along with it. Love will have the opportunity to defend his title in 2026, as he'll return to the No. 2 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet.

"I just put so much work into it... the people like my dad, Scott Speed, the whole No. 2 team that have worked so hard for my dream as I have for my own," Love told CW Sports.

Aric Almirola finished the race runner-up, while Championship 4 contenders Zilisch, Justin Allgaier and Carson Kvapil finished third, fifth and 13th, respectively.

While Almirola didn't win the driver's championship, he did procure the owners championship for the No. 19 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota.

Zilisch, who will race for Trackhouse Racing full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series in 2026, locked up the Xfinity Series Rookie of the Year Award.

Notable Xfinity Series season finale results

Almirola, Zilisch, polesitter Brandon Jones and Allgaier rounded out the top five, with Sammy Smith, Taylor Gray, Sheldon Creed, Austin Hill and Justin Bonsignore completing the top 10.

Other notable finishers include Harrison Burton in 11th, Kvapil in 13th, Christian Eckes in 16th, Brenden Queen in 19th and Ryan Sieg in 37th.

The 2026 NASCAR O'Reily Auto Parts season will begin with the United Rentals 300 on Saturday, Feb. 14.
