New York Jets head coach Aaron Glenn was in no mood to answer questions about injuries during his news conference on Tuesday, and he made that clear by calling out a reporter.
Jets star wide receiver Garrett Wilson suffered a knee injury during the third quarter of the team's 27-20 win over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. While the Jets have not given any information on the extent of the injury, ESPN's Rich Cimini reported on Monday that Wilson is expected to miss at least three to four weeks after spraining his right knee.
Glenn confirmed on Monday that Wilson underwent tests but has not said whether he expects the former Offensive Rookie of the Year to play against the New England Patriots on Thursday night.
When Glenn was asked on Tuesday about Wilson's status, he said he did not want to answer any questions about injuries. He then sarcastically suggested that reporters all direct their inquiries to Cimini, who was not present for the news conference.
"I'm gonna pass on talking about injuries since Rich, who's not here, has all the answers," Glenn said. "So, you guys can get all the injuries from Rich. ... Ask Rich. Well, I'm telling you to ask Rich."
A reporter then replied that others want to hear the information from Glenn, not a fellow member of the media. Glenn stood his ground.
"You guys have been hearing it from me, but now since we're just reporting stuff that I haven't said, then maybe you should ask him," the coach said.

Wilson is one of the Jets' best remaining players after the team traded star cornerback Sauce Gardner and Pro Bowl defensive tackle Quinnen Williams ahead of the deadline last week. He had just returned on Sunday from a different knee injury that cost him two games. Wilson is now facing an even longer absence.
The Jets have won back-to-back games after losing seven straight to start the year. They have not given fans much to cheer about, and Wilson is one of the few Jets players who is capable of making big plays.
Glenn's approach with the media on Tuesday may have been the result of growing frustration. His first season with New York has not gone as planned, and the roster is significantly worse now than it was a week ago. If Wilson is unable to play, the Jets will face an even steeper uphill battle in Week 11 and beyond.
