After two-and-a-half seasons of waiting on Bryce Young to play up to No. 1 overall pick potential, the Carolina Panthers finally got that star performance from their quarterback on Sunday.
Young was at the forefront of Carolina's 30-27 overtime win against Atlanta Falcons. Not only was he at the forefront of the win, but he had a career day in the process.
Young finished the day completing 31-of-45 pass attempts, totaling a career-high 448 yards and three touchdowns. It is just the third time in Young's short career that he's eclipsed 300 passing yards and first time he's ever gotten over 400.
The three touchdowns for Young tied a season-high, matching his performances in Weeks 2 and 6.
Additionally, the 448 yards for Young on Sunday set a franchise record, breaking the previous record of 432 held by Panthers great Cam Newton.

Young has just 12 wins as a starter in his young career. Four of those wins, though, have come against Atlanta. That includes a season sweep of the Falcons this year, as well as an overtime win in last year's season finale.
With the win, Carolina improved to 6-5 on the season and moved within just a half game of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for first place in the NFC South.
The Panthers will travel out west in Week 12 for a "Monday Night Football" matchup with the San Francisco 49ers. The Bucs, meanwhile, face a difficult road game against the Los Angeles Rams. The possibility that Carolina heads into Week 13 leading the NFC South is very real.
